Seating & Positioning
by Iona Novak & Elke Watson
Seating & Positioning is an interactive CD-ROM that translates seating and positioning theory into practice. Designed for occupational and physical therapists, it focuses on developing and refining clinical seating assessment skills.
The use of 3-D animation, audio, text, photos and video allow the learner to explore the underpinning theoretical concepts and identify skeletal and postural abnormalities without intrusive “hands-on” practice. Quizzes at the end of each module allow the learner to test their knowledge of the concepts and techniques.
Seating & Positioning contains five self-paced units:
- Goal setting
- Sitting abnormalities
- Seating systems
- Measuring for seating
- Outcomes – case studies
- Final mastery quiz
